伴随着炎炎夏日的到来，我们又将送离一波毕业的孩子们，每年的毕业季活动学校和老师们都颇为重视，给孩子送上厚重而有意义的成长礼是每所园区和老师们不谋而合的心意。
大班外教Donald表示在他遥远的学校生活记忆里，Olympics奥林匹克运动会绝对是他童年生活里，留下最浓墨重彩的一笔。
“坚持不懈、突破自我”，“尊重规则、赢得光明、输得磊落，输赢皆坦荡”的运动员精神；
“和则一，一则多力，多力则强”的团队精神；
“享受运动，永不止步”的生活态度。
让他获益匪浅，也是他最想分享给即将毕业的孩子们的东西，运动员精神应该存在每一个人身上，尤其是即将迈进人生新征程的孩子们。
在Donald的预设里，这一定要是一场不同以往的运动形式，要高度类似真正的奥林匹克运动会；运动员们的亮相、游行、宣誓、颁奖仪式一个不能缺；要脱离老师的主导，给予孩子充分的自由和选择，在比赛竞技，勇夺第一的同时，让孩子对自己负责、对同伴负责、对集体负责。经过几轮的协商讨论、细致策划，一场包含个人赛事、小组赛事和集体赛事的“奥林匹克运动会”得以顺利进行，从亮相口号，到宣誓词，到运动精神传递，再到精彩纷呈的比赛现场、激动人心的颁奖时刻，老师们全部投入到赛事项目的组织、计分、裁决等，孩子们自行参赛、备赛，或者观战喝彩，或者照顾自己饮水充饥，一切有条不紊，无比顺利。活动过后外教老师Donald激动地分享了他的感受：Last week we had our first SK Olympics at our campus in the East, at least it is the first Olympics at our campus since I have been here. I have to say it was successful. I know all the teachers put a lot of time and effort into the event, and it paid off. The kids had a great time and learned some very valuable lessons in the process. We had the kids put their hand on their hearts and take the following oath, and we enforced it, although the kids didn’t really need any direction in this area, they all did really well and had great behavior and attitudes.上周，枫叶小熊绿地校区举办了园区第一届大班“奥运会”，至少是我来这里后举办的第一届“奥运会”。我不得不说它是成功的。我知道所有的老师都为这次活动投入了大量的时间和精力，但一切都是值得的。整个过程孩子们都享受其中，并在这个过程中学到了非常宝贵的人生经验。我们让孩子们把右手放在自己的胸口，进行运动员宣誓，尽管我认为孩子们平时都能在一言一行上做到自我约束，但了解运动员自律的决心还是很有必要的。Maple Bear East Campus Olympic Oath:“In the name of all the competitors I promise that I shall take part in these Olympic Games, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern them, committing ourselves to a sport without arguing and without fighting, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of sport and the honor of our teams. I will respect my fellow competitors and should I win, I will win with Honor and Dignity and should I lose, I will lose with Honor and Dignity.”我以参赛者的名义承诺，我将尊重并遵守奥运会的规则来参加这次运动会，本着真正的体育精神，为了体育的荣耀和我们团队的荣誉，致力于一项没有争议、没有纷争的运动。我将尊重我的同伴，如果我赢了，我将以荣誉和尊严获胜，如果我输了，我同样将以荣誉和尊严失败。There were some tears from a couple of kids that did not win medals, but hey, we lose more often than we win and learning to lose is an important lesson to learn. Besides, the tears were nothing a few hugs and words of encouragement couldn’t heal. Aside from learning to lose, the kids learned how to win with class, honor and dignity.有几个没有赢得任何奖牌的孩子落泪了，但是，嘿，我们的人生旅程中不就是这样的吗？可能输的次数比赢的次数更多，学会怎么输也是一个重要的课题，伤心流泪可以用拥抱和鼓励的话来抚平，克服对输的惧怕，坦然接受失败并从中学习、立志进取才是我们需要的人生态度。除了学会输，孩子们还学会了如何有尊严地获胜。Having these kids in my class on a daily basis, I was surprised to see how graciously these kids won, there was no “rubbing it in” that I observed and I could not be more proud of them in the way they conducted themselves, both winners and losers. The kids learned how to work in teams both as a class (during the tug of war), and as groups during the three legged races and relays.虽然平时和孩子们朝夕相处，我还是很惊讶地看到这些孩子赢得如此有风度，我没有观察到任何 '擦边球'或作弊行为，无论是获胜者还是失利者，我都为他们感到骄傲。孩子们学会了如何以班集体为单位（在拔河比赛中），以及在两人三足和接力赛跑中以小组为单位进行合作。We did not have a lot of rules for them to follow and we let them do as they wished between their own events. They could go to the snack or drink station whenever they wished. We did not have set water or eating times but we let the kids know that they needed to drink and snack after their events or whenever they were thirsty. You know what? Not a single kid got sick or dehydrated. They did a great job of listening to their bodies and keeping themselves hydrated. Again a very valuable lesson for them to learn. Be responsible for yourself, even if you are only 6. 在整个活动中没有给孩子们设定太多的规则，比赛项目进行中，孩子们可以自由选择自己想做的事。他们可以根据自己的意愿随时去吃零食或饮水。我们没有规定喝水或吃饭的时间，提前提醒他们照顾好自己，天气炎热记得在活动间隙或口渴的时候喝水，能量不足时补充营养。孩子们都做到了，整整一上午，在烈日炎炎的户外，他们能够照护好自己的身体，这对于他们来说又是一个非常宝贵的经验，要对自己负责，即使他们只有6岁左右。From my observation, they also learned to be mindful of their whereabouts and what was happening around them, the events were all over the playground and the kids were allowed to roam freely, I did not see or hear of any interruptions of the games by kids wandering into the fields of play, something I thought for sure would happen and was very happy didn’t happen. I hope we do another one next year, I personally believe the kids learned a great deal about sportsmanship and personal responsibility and had a great time doing so. I saw so many smiles and heard so many laughing kids today, you could feel the joy and happiness in the air.
